Last post~ (maybe not?)

Whew! Finally to the last post to complete the assignment (hate it thoroughly). Today wasn't eventful, but i have to post something to get the assignment over and done with, so just bear with this entry (or bear with all entries? 'laughs').

Today i woke up at 5.50 brushed my teeth 'blah blah blah'..... and reached school at 7. Well, really don't know wad to say, so will start with home economics (which started at 1.40). Did A LOT of sewing (actually it was just the head of the bear). During the lesson, i actually felt that it was fun to 'uhm' disturb miss Hashimah, the home econs teacher (do i seem perverted? To Mr Reuben, the sentence before this is a joke). The way she shouted kept instigating me to laugh (joke. again). But the one thing i really hate about home economics is the way the teacher always keeps for five to ten minutes in the room, giving reasons like ' The windows aren't closed!' and the like. But eventually we'll get out of her clutches and get on with life.

After that i went to the band room for sectionals. They were drilling my batchmate, Daniel, on a particular piece. Due to my exceptional playing skills on the tuba (i do not mean it. it's for entertainment) i did not attend the secional, and instead did my homework on a bench nearby. Even if i joined, i would be doing my own things rather than play together with my section. The chinese homework really drove me nuts. We had to rephrase whole paragraphs to the simplest form (MATHS!!!). Luckily one senior gave me guidance so it wasn't such a pain.

On the bus on the way home, i saw this group of delinquents creating havoc. The volume in which they talked was not acceptable. They were also hurling profanities at each other in loud (LOUD) voices. What's their deal? I really don't knoww why people do this. Do they crave for attention so much?

After I went home, i had a quick dinner, and proceded to learn my chinese spelling. Done with it and i'm blogging now :)

No particular moral today (laughs).
100% done. Completed. It's over. YAY

Today was really fun!!! Went to the beach to have a picnic with my family. I couldn't even when was the last time we had one (sad). Woke up at around twelve (do i sound like a pig?). And got washed up. Was really hungry then, but my mother kept telling me to wait as we were going to have lots and lots of food at the beach.

We took the bus 197 to the beach (and looked real awkward carrying all the bags of food and drinks). After we reached there, around two o'clock, we set up the picnnicc site (nothing much really, just laying the mat). Then my father went to sleep there. While my mom was perparing everyting, me and my brothers went to fly kites (immature? not at all).

At around three thirty, the food was ready and everyone dug in (i was already half dead from hunger). There were all sorts of stuff, burgers, fries, sausages, name it, we have it. Filled to the brim with food, my brothers and i continued to fly kites, build sandcastles and the like (we really sound immature). Halfway while having fun, i heard the cry of a person. A woman. Looking around with curious eyes, i spoted a woman crying and struggling for help. Before i could utter any word, myeldest brother was already running towaards her for rescue (heroic, isn't he?).

He fought the ccurrent with such force and agility that he saved the girl in no ime (saving a damsel in disress 'HAHA'). The girl, around 17 to 18, repeatedly thanked my brrother. You should have senen how my brother shyed away (laughs).Thereafter, my father bought him a change of clotheswwhile the girl went off. I can't believe my brother didn't actually ask for her number.

We then went to the bowling ring for some action (is it the correct word?) with heavy balls. It was really no point as all of us kept 'gutter-ing'. So we left the place and proceded home. It was only 7 when we went (too early!). Reaached home about8 and went to sleep straight after this entry and a bath.

Well, the moral for today
'Get the girl's number after you save her'
'Haha'

Today was disappointing. I woke up early in the morning (7 am) to get ready for cca. We were supposed to be there by 9 am sharp, but because i slept on the bus and did not get up, i was late and got punished by my seniors. A bad way to start the day right?

After that was sectionals (where we practice together as a section working on different aspects of the music). It was really boring as i already knew how to play the pieces. At break where we were supposed to have a quick lunch, i realised that i did not bring enough money for it. Distressed i was, i went back to the location of our sectionals and slacked there.

I was supposed to go for the SWSYB for practice after the pratice in my school ('laughs' is it getting complicated?), so i met up with my friend to go toghether. When we got there, my friend received a call from the conductor, saying

'There is no practice today.'

When i heard this, i swore on the spot. No pracctice? I made a wasted trip. A really wasted one. And the place we were at was Buona Vista. I was hoping to get some more interesting pieces to play. Nevertheless, i made home with my friend. I was so tired when i got home after all he travelling at 4 plus that i took a bath a went straight to sleep.

Woke up at 8 and swwitched on the computer to play games (oops!) and blog.
Well,
the moral of today is
'Check for band practices every saturday'

60% done~ (woots)

this guy has a real good tone (as in the quality of sound he produces, for non-musicians to understand). i love how he plays the tuba so i'm sharing with everyone :)

20 Jan, Wed

Well, except for the literature essay today and the cca event, today is really nothing much for me. We were supposed to do the test last week, but mrs ng come for some reason or another, so i thought we would have it on the following monday. But on monday, with the combined effort of tha class,we managed to push it to today. How i wish i didn't have to do it at all. To me it was really an impromptu test as i didn't prepare for it (when we were supposed to).

After school i had to finish up the last houe of my individuals (to not get push-ups from seniors). But halfway through i was told to stop, as the secondary ones had their instrument allocation. I can't even spectate the event! So i went to be a good boy and did homework with my friends outside.

After that i went home with Niyaz, my friend. As it was still early, he suggested for us to go to the 'pasar malam', or bazaar for a look. The food looked so appealing! A pity i did not have enough money with me. The bags and wallets sold there looked good too.

I went home after that o do my homework.
And now i'm blogging.
Well it's quite late now so i'll stop for today. :)

16 Jan, Sat

Today was really an eventful day (because it's my most anticipated day for the week). Well, although it was tiring, but it is definitely the 'funnest' day in the week. I had band practice in the morning, for the concert in the istana on the 2nd day of chinese new year. From 9 to 2. You may think its nothing to be tired about. But if you try blowing air through a tube 15m long for that amount of time with only a half hour break and no lunch, well, you get my point.

For the second pary of the day, i went to the ulu pandan community centre for my Singapore Wind Symphony Youth Band practice (SWSYB). Do i sound like i'm boasting? Well it's not a registered band yet, but the players and conductor are all very determined for it to be a success. It was an eye opener for me (as there were so many good players there). Everyone there was related one way or another as all of us are taught by the same teacher (laughs) isn't it cool?

After that i went to have dinner with some friends and the conductor (my teacher). Had some seriously oily rice with no vegetables at all. That's why i'm so unhealthy. But it was nice (laughs).

You might want to know why i call it 'my most anticipated day'. The reason why i love it is because it grants me a chance to have a whole day to music making (music is my passion) and to mingle around with friends i haven't saw for a long time. Wouldn't you love a day that you do something you like for the whole day?

After that, i got a lift from him and went home to blog. To do homework.
And now i'm playing games on the computer. :)
